My Account has Expired

If you’re seeing an “account has expired” message, the fix depends on how your subscription was originally set up. Jump to your situation:

Website subscription · App Store or Google Play subscription · Account provided by your child’s school

Website subscription

i
Where to find this: Log in › Manage Account

Check that your subscription is showing as active. If it has expired, the most common cause is a card that has expired or changed.

To renew, you will need to cancel your current subscription and re-subscribe with your new card details.

App Store or Google Play subscription

!
The steps below were correct at the time of writing, but store layouts change with updates. If a step has moved, search for “subscriptions” in your store settings.

Apple App Store

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Find and tap Phonics Hero.
  5. Select a subscription option and tap Subscribe to renew.

Google Play

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions.
  4. Find and tap Phonics Hero.
  5. Tap Resubscribe and follow the prompts to renew.

Account provided by your child’s school

If your child’s login was set up by their school, the subscription is managed by the school — not through your personal App Store, Google Play or website account.

If the app is showing “account has expired”, it’s likely the school’s subscription has lapsed. Please contact your child’s teacher to let them know.

In the meantime, you can set up your own independent subscription via the website or app so your child can continue playing without interruption.
