Device Compatibility
Phonics Hero works on most common devices, but not all. There are thousands of devices on the market and we are unable to test every one.
Known compatible devices
- iPad and iPhone
- Chromebook
- Windows PC or laptop
- Android tablets and phones running Android 8.0 or later. Check whether your device is on our list of compatible Android devices.
Known incompatible devices
- XO computer
- Amazon Fire tablet
Interactive whiteboards (IWBs) and smartboards
Phonics Hero works on interactive whiteboards and smartboards. How you access it depends on your board:
- If you connect a laptop or PC to your board: connect it with a cable or wirelessly, so your screen shows on the board. Then log in to Phonics Hero on your laptop or PC as usual.
- If your board has its own apps and web browser (no laptop needed): you don’t need to download the Phonics Hero app. Open the board’s web browser, usually Chrome, and log in on our website as usual.
